Since the 2.2 update I have noticed a issue with using the USB connection with a PC, if I select the SD Card option the device want to force the Moto Connect software no matter what I do and if I do not install application the device will simply mount and disconnect SD card from the system so it makes it impossible to move anything to card without placing it in a reader and place in pc. This feature was fine in 2.1 and I was wondering if I was missing something. I have even went as far as formatting card with no luck.

Any suggestions.

I have the same problem and can't find a way around it. I installed the Moto software to see if it would give me some way to connect to the sd card but all the software does is open up a link to Verizon's vcast page and then show a demo of their media share software wich it seems they are trying to force you to use in order to access the sd card with a usb cable.

i just did this and cancelled the moto connect, and was able to browse and organize all my pictures. Try cancelling the motoconnect software. I didnt even know what that was when it came up. Im on xp pro

I tried that the first few times it came up, I can access sd card but if I try to copy any large files, like video to or from card the connection will drop in and out constantly. At work I use to plug to pc to charge and I watched the videos I had on card on pc but connection will not hold long enough to do this now.
