I juuuust got a MyTouch 3G slide this weened and I'm still getting used to it, but this issue has me stumped. I previously had a MyTouch 4G but had to downgrade after an unfortunate accident.
Anyway, when I'm typing a text message, the hardware keyboard will randomly switch input methods at times. It will go from having the prediction, double-space = period, automatic caps, etc to just regular typing with no assistance.
Any ideas? The latest version of software is installed (I upgraded yesterday to FroYo). The phone is used, so it's possible it was damaged in some way, but I'm thinking this is a software issue because I can hit the "home" button, open the text msg again and it will be the input method I want it to be. The random switching is annoying though.
