No... although that looks like a 3.5mm "headphone" plug, it is actually a serial data connection... those are designed to work with specific devices that had a port for a remote IR sensor, for example the DVD player is in a cabinet or behind the TV, you connect this to a compatible device and put the sensor where it can be in direct line of sight of the remote, so you can operate the device without having to have the IR port built into the device, or the device itself, visible. Sorry.
