I've got an Xbox One X, with a controller that supports Bluetooth connectivity. I'd like to sometimes play Fortnite on the go (or when my kids want to take over the TV with their stuff) by using my controller with my Galaxy Tab S6. I know it connects, and I've done so without issue, but my question is this:

Is there a way to use an Xbox controller and switch between the Xbox and Android device without having to go through the pairing process each time?

I can't find any information through a web search on whether or not the Xbox controller supports multiple devices like that.
