Question Earbuds with mic diagram, can someone help me and tell me if I can wire microphone to earbuds with only four wires?

No. I'm just using a 4 wire cable and want to attach a mic. I looking to see if anyone knows how the wires go on the mic and the jack.
Which microphone and earbuds do you have? Is there any reason why you want to do this rather than getting new earbuds that have an inbuilt microphone?
Yes. It's just a challenge. And just want to know if I can Sauter the wires and the jack. BTW the jack is for use with a mic. I just need the how on the wires and the mic since I don't have a specific wire for the mic.

For most things I refer people to YouTube because often if it can be done someone has posted there to show off. Well show off and sometimes to show how, but that would be my first stop. It's is by far the easiest and quickest solution if it exists. Otherwise, my next step would be to try and find a schematic of the circuitry which would show where paths lead, name components, etc. and since this is something you're wanting to do, maybe something you'll be familiar with.

I would agree with rvbfan that it is less likely that the added expense, even if it were just a slightly better chip, would be included by the manufacturer. Of course writing this something occurred to me, are these wired headphones?

Is this what you're looking for?

FYI, I'm not the spelling or grammar police, believe me on that, but for reference it is solder.

Good luck and let us know if you get it to work.

Right I wouldn't expect it to be exactly the same, I mean this is just some random diagram online. But let's say, If one was going to get a 3.5 mm jack and want to wire so that when plugged into a 3.5 mm port and have it work, they might want to know a few things, and maybe have the right parts. A four point 3.5 mm jack, when the most common type is 3 section. They could want to know which wire needs to go to which of those sections on that jack. Which location is for the right, left the left and mic the mic. color doesn't change this.

Anyway, this would be how that plug would need to be configured so that it would work. Now your wires may be turquoise, purple, lavender and periwinkle but figuring out which is the common, which is for the left and which is for the right and then were a mic might be added. A diagram like this would let them know where these. Blue, black or yellow, the right earphone wire is still the right earphone wire.

Best wishes.

Yessss, that's exactly what I'm trying to say . Just didn't know how.
With that being said... Does anyone have a diagram for the correct way to wire everything the right way. I have:
L & R earbuds, wire, little mic box thing, and a 4 point or section Jack.
I think that's all I need., just missing the sequence of the wires and where to (solder)* thank you VID JUNKIE. LOL
