I am very low tech and too old to start. I am new to tablets and Android. How do I get directional arrows function, similar to a conventional keyboard, on Google keyboard and SwiftKey keyboard? I have both.

If you're using SwiftKey for the Tablet there are no arrows

If you're using the Phone version:
Settings>Language & Input>SwiftKey settings>Themes> Check the box next to, Arrow Keys

I think that I responded that my problem was solved too quickly. When I saw that the arrows appeared on the keyboad, I thought that was the end of it, but now that I actually tried using the back arrow, it keeps giving me the "per cent" character. Any suggestions?
