To be fair, it does compare. For me the note 8 wins in the comparison.
No head phone jack, no FP scanner, and the walled system that is iOS is what drives me away from the iPhone.
Add the fun and unique abilities of the Spen and it is the Note 8 for the win.

I kinda liked the iPhone X. That's the one I would choose. But it occurred to me that the reason I would choose it is because it's the one that most resembles an Android phone running iOS lol. Why not just get the real deal?

And wow... What a way to make your other two phones feel like afterthoughts. Buying those two phones would be kinda depressing.

Pretty underwhelming as expected upon reading the details of the iPhone 10. Front cameras are pretty cool though now they do portrait mode too. My P10 does it too with the front camera but it's really poor

The X doesn't seem to be a direct competitor to the Note 8. The note 8 has a much bigger screen and of course the s pen. It just seems to have a different target demographic. The S8/S9 or maybe S8+/S9+ seem to have the more similar target audience.

Yes, unfortunately. Unfortunately ever since Steve Jobs died the company is not revolutionary anymore apple is just a status knock off of a lot of Android phones particularly Samsung Galaxy phones. Most if not all the features of the iPhone x are on the Galaxy S8 S8 plus phones. Especially the Note 8. I'm not even trying to sound too biased against Apple but it's hard not to when all of their Futures are duplicated from Android manufacturers. For example when they had the last keynote speech with iOS 11.1 beta and they showed off the present hold for different secondary symbols on the keyboard, android keyboard such as gboard and SwiftKey and basically all Android keyboard have had that feature for years.

Pfft! No! I foresee people with iPhones going for the the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus rather than the iPhone X. I don't see many S8/S8+ or Note 8 users jumping.

Why would they complain? Apple is God according to most of them. Apple can do no wrong and Apple always is innovative.

This is the thing I don't get about Apple. The tech has been out for years but it only becomes relevant when Apple does it. And Apple is hailed as being innovative. How are old features deemed innovative? What is creative and original about their "new" features? 🤔

Isn't actual usable display for content on the X, 5.15"? The rest of the display is for stuff other than content. Even the non Plus S8 beats that.

I thought it was intellectually dishonest for them to claim they have introduced cutting edge technology for the future and its innovative when everything has been introduced by Samsung for years now. They're just catching up.

Well, they actually did finally get some stuff that they lacked for years (waterproofing, OLED, wireless charging, edge screens, minimal bezels) but for me that just makes it on par with some Android phones. I thought the X looked great, though it's not for me.

Other than the price, and no FPS, I can't see any reason to bash it. It seems like an awesome phone really.

It's all in their presentation and marketing. It's at a level no other company can follow. Like with the iPhone X Tim announced it as if it's the first phone to tout all the features Android phones have had for years. It's almost as if Apple doesn't consider Android as a real competitor. This mindset works for Apple hence their new multibillion dollar campus and loads of cash in reserve.

And the "X"... Are you kidding me!! With that rediculously silly Black top center sensor / camera housing that is alaways going to display on top of full screen video.. Is Absolutely unexceptionable!! Just imagine running a piece of Black duct tape along the left side center portion of your tv and watching it like that!! Completely Stupid!! There claiming 5.8" corner to corner... When you factor in that Stupid sensor housing it's actually less and looks like crap when playing back full screen video and games... Gosh! What we're Apple thinking... They Just made the Note 8 the Top Dog!! Thanks Apple...

Seems a step down in security. Couldn't someone grab your phone and point it at your face to unlock it? Or just say, "Hey, is this your phone?" Same at border security. They have your phone. Point it at your face. Unlock it. Or am I missing something?
