Android Central Photo Contest: Ornate

Sometimes simplicity is important, and other times we like designs that are a bit more over the top. Some things are just meant to be ornate, and we want you to capture them as your entry to the latest photo contest.

You'll have two weeks to do it, and your entry could be worthy of winning one of two Samsung Fast Charge Qi Wireless Charging Pads!

Entering is easy. Just drop your entry in a post below. Tell us what Android you used to get the picture, and any back story you want to add to it. We'll pick a winner Tuesday (October 6) night at 11:59 PM ET, and announce them on the blog with the next contest.

• Pictures must be taken with an Android device
• Pictures must be uploaded to the contest thread. I'm not running all over the Internet to track them down.
• You have to tell us what device you used to take the picture, and any special software you might have used. Editing your pictures is fine — this is art.
• Feel free to add a little back story — we want to know how the picture came to be.
• You must have used a valid email address to register here at AC, so I know how to contact the winner.
• Only one entry per contest per person.

This was taken with my Samsung Galaxy S4 at the Melk Abbey in Austria. Not too shabby for a two-year old phone camera. I have since upgraded to a Galaxy Note 5...I can only imagine how it would have looked had it been taken with that!

This is the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco. Mostly went to that area to see the Silicon Valley companies, haha. Shot on the HTC One M9 in HDR mode, and the picture is unedited.

This is taken during my vacation in Andelucia (Spain). The light conditions were not good, but the photo turned out pretty OK.

It's taken with my Samsung galaxy Note 4. I really love the camera on it.

I took this picture with my OnePlus One. Big fan of this camera. This is a picture of a beautiful rose I found in my Grandmother's yard. When I visit her, I always like to take photos of her beautiful garden. This was captured in northern Israel, and in my opinion, there are some of the world's most beautiful flowers here. I'm not sure if this is considered editing, but I used the Lens Blur feature in the Google Camera app.

Earlier this month, I went to Paris and Italy for my Honeymoon. This beautiful picture of Musée d'Orsay (Orsay Museum) was taken on our first day in Paris. We were walking over Passerelle Léopold-Sédar-Senghor, a cast-iron footbridge that runs over the Seine River.

Took this picture this past weekend with my Note 5. We were headed 95 South to Atlanta and decided to swing by South of the Border, SC for the night. Kids love it. The Dome is the ceiling to the indoor pool. The whole motel had a 70's kind of feel but I could see the art behind the design of it. Edited with photos app.

No, this picture is not "mind blowing" or the "top 3 candidates to win", but, I wanted to share it cuz is the most modern church entrance that I saw on my life haha, look at those neon light!!! really cool!, you can get marry and have a party in that entrance hahaha; I took that pic from a car when I was shopping with friends for a "friends's dinner"
