So I have been researching the raspberry and I am interested in making some cool starting with a smart touchscreen mirror. Any help on how to do so. Also what screens can you use? As far as I understand you can hook the raspberry up to any old screen but can you make it touchscreen? And where can I buy parts to help build things like this? Any info is appreciated

Any touch screen monitor will work, the hard part is finding one that is easy to take out of the case and remount into something more suitable.

I don't have any pictures, but you really don;t need them.

I installed Debian to the Pi, updated to the latest touch drivers and system files. Connected the monitor through the HDMI port and wrote a simple PyGTK program that runs full screen and borderless. I looked at the source code for Sunflower file manager to see how they did a few things in the GUI.

Then I just hung it on the wall with a cheap wifi dongle for the network.
