Fold 2 instead of the N20 Ultra?

Getting this idea in my head that if the Note 20 Plus/Ultra isn't all that much of an upgrade from the Note 10 plus 5G and price between Fold 2 and N20 is only a couple of hundred, then why not just get the Fold and also keep the Note 10 plus.
Anyone else not to excited for the Note 20 so far.

I'm underwhelmed with most of the Note 20 rumors/leaks. I've wanted a Fold since day one but still want to do some research on the Z Flip screen durability (so far) since the Fold 2 will use the same (or similar) screen. My dream is a "Note" Fold (like so many of us!). For now I'll stick with keeping my N10+.

Like the others, I'm underwhelmed by the 20. My hope was in the fold having a pen. When they said it(the fold) wouldn't, I resolved(more disappointed) myself to not buying a device this year.

I do like the z flip also.. But.. Mehhhhh... lol

Nope, happy with my Note 9.

No need to spend over $1k for something that wont be much of an upgrade.

Next phone will likely be a pixel anyways. I want faster updates but more importantly I hate having all these duplicate Samsung apps they wont let me uninstall.

I don't want/need a folding/flip phone. But I'm very interested in the Note 20. As usual I will wait for the first reviews, maybe software updates and good deals, then I might grab one ;)

If Fold 2 have S-Pen and doesn't cost as much as its predecessor, I'm for it. If not, I rather buy Note 20 Ultra. But, I must say, I'm very interested in the new Surface Phone and in the iPhone 12 Pro as well...

So, for me, better wait next releases in order to do a proper choice.

I would not consider the fold because of the lack of the s pen.
without the s pen I would need to carry again my note book and a pen...

My Note 9 at just shy of its 2nd year anniversary continues to serve me well. It has inherited the best features of it's S10 and S20 series stablemates and remains a strong contender. The return of the manual/pro video mode (which was inexplicably taken away when the long awaited Pie update was launched) sealed the deal for me.

I have the note 10+ 5g and see no point in upgrading this time. Every year I preorder and have had every note device since launch. But I'm just not bothered about this. The note 10 is such a good device, what will the 20 give me except for some minor camera tweeks which I'll hardly ever use.

I'm interested in what Samsung brings in the N20, but having bought the 10+ yesterday, no interest in buying one. Maybe my wife will want one next year when she upgrades.

I've had Note envy for years, mostly because of the S-Pen, and the envy was justified. This phone is amazing, and I have barely scratched the surface. Might be a 4 year phone for me! (Also, how do you not just sit and stare at the Aura Glow???)

My Note 10+ is great!
No interest in Note 20 family or any 5G phone at this point.
5G is actually a negative for me now on any phone.
The Verizon 5G footprint is so small in Michigan it might as well not exist. In a year or two when 5G coverage is better, having 5G doesn't diminish battery life, and the 5G spectrum among carriers is sorted out (T-Mobile may emerge as best 5G carrier) I will consider a 5G phone.
But now I will stick with what I consider the best 4G android phone.

I have the N10+5G and I am also not excited for the N20 which is rare. I have always loved the note series and need the s pen for work on the go. I also agrew that 5G phones right now are worthless in my area as well (seattle).

Were you planning to keep the 10+ if you get the Note 20+ too??

In your case, having the Note 10 + 5G, adding a Fold 2 would be fun as a novelty item.

If I already had a Note 10 + 5G, I personally wouldn't be that interested in the Note 20+ and wait and be more interested in the Note 21 or 22. The Note 10 and Note 20 would share so many similarities that it just seems to be a waste of money... there is no fun in switching between the two and except for the camera bump no one will know which one you have... if anything they'll think it's a S20 Ultra at first glance.

With that said, even though I find the Fold 2 a interesting novelty item, I personally can't do it either.

It's still too bulky for me to want to carry it in pocket daily. It may be cool for a day to pull it out in public and open it up and browse and the stares you'd get using it, but honestly, I don't need to have people watching what I am doing on screen now that anyone can probably see what I am looking at two/three tables down lol. Also I ride my mountain bike a lot. When I have a marathon I'm wanting to run, I run a lot and don't want to carry such a bulky device and been know to take a spill now and then so now sure how durable the Fold 2 would be and especially if I get sand in my pockets.

My second phone with be smaller and different and unique from the Note 20 in many ways... If I could roll with two phones, my second phone would be a Iphone 12 Pro.

I did put in the 1st post that a condition of getting the Fold was to ALSO keep the Note :)

Yeah the idea was to either upgrade to the Note 20 Plus/Ultra OR the Fold and then stick with the Note 10 plus 5G.
I agree though that the Fold thing is a bit of a novelty thing that's probably not worth paying for.

Phone looks like you can't carry it in your back pocket.
And I'd break the fold if I tried.
It. Won't take much abuse.
I'm a little rough on phones.
Broke the back glass on my note 10+ now.
Debating if n will fix it.

Fold phones need another 5 years minimum. Currently gimmick mainly just now. Good proof of concept and good to see them out there and being trialed but not for me for a long time.
