Why can't I make or receive calls on my Note 3?

hi there
i hav been using samsung note 3 for almost 6 months.. it was working smoothly when suddenly it had a problem. i cant make or receive calls and messages.it gives not registered on network error.. there is no problem with mobile network though n i m able to use 3G..i dont remember i did anything to it deliberately... i have done factory reset multiple times but it didnt work... n the strange thng is it gets fixed automatically.. once in a blue moon i m able to receive a call n message..dont understand it... plz help

If you have a Sim have reseated it? Also check your provider settings. Settings > more networks > mobile networks.
