bypassing pin or recovering files from Samsung Galaxy Note 3

A friend gave me her phone Samsung Galaxy Note 3 with pin code which she has forgotten and asked me to try to either bypass pin or recover files if its possible before trying factory reset.
She doesn't seem to know much or take care of information so she probably doesn't remember her google account and maybe also doesn't remember where she kept payment proof for phone ownership.
and i noticed:
USB debugging disabled
WiFi isn't disabled

I have Dr Fone trailer installed, but I think it needs to be registered to fully function which I don't wish to do as it may not work and the warning worried me
so is there any possible way to bypass pin or recover files safely without any risk?
or can I recover them after factory rest?

Sorry, but there's no easy way to bypass a PIN -- otherwise, it'd be a pretty useless security feature. You could try using Samsung's Find My Mobile to remotely change the password: https://findmymobile.samsung.com/

You can't recover the files after a factory reset.
