Is there a way to verify the protective plastice is removed from the camera lens?

Camera Len's Protection

Is there a sure way to verify protective plastic is removed from camera lens? I remember removing the plastic from front, back and sides but don't remember removing from camera lens area as seen on so many videos. I don't want to take a chance on scratching lens if it already removed.

If you look closely you can clearly see it if it's there

Get a bright flashlight and shine it across the glass covering the lens. You should be able to see it, if not put on somebody's reading glasses and look again. I have a stereo microscope if you want to borrow it?

It's a thicker film so you should be able to see it no problem. All the ones I've seen had bubbles under them as well.

Mine was really easy to see. Maybe you removed it and forgot??
