How do I unlock my Note 4?

Locked out - black screen

I accidentally got locked out of my galaxy note 4! All I get is a black screen and the little blue notification light. HELP !!! How do I unlock it?
I already tried going to device manager on my computer to change the password but it can't locate my phone (which is right in front of me) to make the change.:'(

Have you tried removing the battery for about 60 seconds and reinstalling it?

You can also try*visiting Google’s Account Recovery Options*and enter a phone number,*alternate e-mail addresses for recovery, and security question.
