Video the size of a postage stamp?

I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a way to fix this... attached are screenshots of video that was originally recorded mostly on a Note 4.

When watching it without pressing full screen it is the smaller picture (about the size of a postage stamp), when I press "full screen" it seems to stretch it from top to bottom but not left to right...

Any help would really be appreciated, even if it is a conversion that needs to be done through an app, or on my PC. Thanks...

I wish I could help, but I don't have this problem. I've not had the Note 4 but have video from my s6a, HTC m8,and even a WP Lumina 1520 and none do this.

Is it anything to do with the 'resolution' or size it was recorded as? Try another recording, see what happens...

My Note 4 videos came over the same way to my Note 5. The recordings are 1920x1080; I just did a test video with the Note 5 and the resolution is also 1920x1080 so not sure why they Note 4 videos aren't full screen. Luckily the videos aren't really important to me but I can see how this would be an issue to others.

Test: copy the video to a computer and play, see how it plays. Once done, if it played correctly, create a copy with a different name. Then copy that to the Note 5. And test it.
