Best Insurance Plan Outside of Carrier

Right now my Note 5 is on a $9 a month plan. Seems kind of high.

Haven't done much research yet, thought I'd check here first and see what you guys are using?

With Verizon protection, not only do you pay monthly, but you have a huge deductible if you have to use it. With Square Trade, $99 to start and that's it your insured for 2yrs. Or $ 129 for 3yrs.

Checked with my homeowners insurance, they will cover it for being lost or stolen.

Problem with homeowners insurance is that you deductible may exceed the cost of the phone. My deductible on my HO insurance is almost 1500.
