I was sitting at home in the dark thinking after we lost power last night. I live in Florida and am one Wednesday away from every electronic device in my house frying.

Is there any research into this kind of thing happening with wireless Chargers? It was just a weird thought.

The wireless charge has to get it's power form a main source, then sends a signal to the battery.. the issue is, if the power goes out.. the wireless charge would turn off while charging the phone.. which would be uninfected other than losing the power sign charger. The surge protection on the wireless charge is very important.. even if you connected a UPS your time is still limited but could save the wireless charge there after.

Sorry, I was more referring to a surge through wireless charging. Like is this charging pad a potential Tesla coil, lol...
