Note 8 S-pen functionality same as Note 3?

Hi

I am trying to find out if the Galaxy Note 8's S-pen has the same functionality, software, apps etc as those on the Galaxy Note 3? For instance, when I click the button on my S-Pen on my Note 3 while hovering over the screen a little semi circle of options pops up: Action Memo, Scrapbooker, Screen Writer, S Finder and Pen Window.

I heard about the new Galaxy TabPro 8.4" tablet coming out end of February or so, but it doesn't come with the s-pen, and that is a deal breaker for me.

The Note 8 does not have the Air Command functionality that is included in the Note 3. With the Note 8 though you get the S Note suite and things can be saved in the Scrapbook.

Thanks ehosey2. I found some videos on YouTube after I posted this question. Looks like a lot of the same functionality is there but has to be initiated from apps on the device. Think I'm going to get it!
