Increasingly heavy RAM usage?

For the first month of owning this Note, I had 3ish GB free at any given time. Right now, I'm at under 1 GB free. This is without any apps running in the background, no new installations, etc. "Cleaning" is not doing anything to improve the situation nor does it show any memory hungry services. I just find it confusing as to why more and more RAM is being used up for apparently no reason whatsoever.

This is mine 99% of the time, but I don't mind because my phone doesn't lag one bit or crashes at all, and its super snappy.

It's called precaching. Also happens on Windows now. The OS learns the apps you use the most and preloads them to available RAM so they launch faster. This is why a seldom used app/game will start slower than say, a game you only open once a month.

However, even if they are physically occupying RAM, that amount is still considered available RAM and they will be kicked out if the system asks for more RAM needed.
