I have the note 9, and every review I've read as mentioned stereo speakers. However mine seems to only have one speaker on the bottom and I can't find another speaker anywhere. Does anyone know where this second speaker is or is this an urban legend?

The front speaker is the earpiece - the part you hold up to your ear when making a call. You can tell it's working if you play a video and put your thumb over the bottom firing speaker.

Make sure Dolby Atmos is turned on, there's a quick toggle for it in your notification area. This enables the dual speakers.

The stereo speakers will work regardless if that setting is enabled. I never had it turned on on my Note 9 and I've had it almost two weeks now and the stereo speakers have worked since day one.

Well, if that is the case then the dual speakers suck. The phone sounds like a single firing speaker without Dolby Atmos turned on.

Mine sounds fine without, but better with it on. I mean, c'mon, they're pretty small, you can't expect room filling sound.

If you put the phone next to your ear, you should be able to locate the speakers pretty easily (unless they're not working).

I love this phone for it's stereo speakers. One of my biggest reasons for purchasing tbh, that and the battery, and the camera, and the new Spen. Ever since my Nexus 6, I've sorely missed the stereo loudspeaker effects for games and videos, so glad Samsung finally released a Note phone that has literally NO Compromises.
