I have the note 9, and every review I've read as mentioned stereo speakers. However mine seems to only have one speaker on the bottom and I can't find another speaker anywhere. Does anyone know where this second speaker is or is this an urban legend?

The front speaker is the earpiece - the part you hold up to your ear when making a call. You can tell it's working if you play a video and put your thumb over the bottom firing speaker.

Make sure Dolby Atmos is turned on, there's a quick toggle for it in your notification area. This enables the dual speakers.

The stereo speakers will work regardless if that setting is enabled. I never had it turned on on my Note 9 and I've had it almost two weeks now and the stereo speakers have worked since day one.

Well, if that is the case then the dual speakers suck. The phone sounds like a single firing speaker without Dolby Atmos turned on.

Mine sounds fine without, but better with it on. I mean, c'mon, they're pretty small, you can't expect room filling sound.

I've had Dolby Atmos turned off all this time and it's sounded really good while watching YouTube videos.

Maybe an issue with yours. Mine sounds amazing for a phone.

If you put the phone next to your ear, you should be able to locate the speakers pretty easily (unless they're not working).

I love this phone for it's stereo speakers. One of my biggest reasons for purchasing tbh, that and the battery, and the camera, and the new Spen. Ever since my Nexus 6, I've sorely missed the stereo loudspeaker effects for games and videos, so glad Samsung finally released a Note phone that has literally NO Compromises.

If I'm not mistaken, the dual speakers aren't on all the time, such as on a speakerphone call. I think it just activates while on YouTube and music.

I just checked and both speakers are on even during speakerphone calls. In fact, I don't think I've ever had a case where both speakers were not always on. The dual speakers are also a major reason why I jumped on the Note 9.

Reset settings and reset network settings(not factory reset) and now I have 2 speakers working for the first time since I bought the phone about 2 months ago.
