If your phone supports it, wi-fi calling can help improve your overall reception. In some specific cases (depending on the carrier, specifically AT&T), it might cause occasional glitches with MMS messages. But in most cases, it'll help rather than hurt.

I have symmetrical gigabit fiber. Wifi calling was garbage for me from a voice quality standpoint.

And then there's the lack of transition when going from outside to inside.

So far the CellSpot thing that simulates a cell tower is a better solution. It goes into my network infrastructure, but it actually works. At least, the v2 model works. The v1 model didn't work well at all.

I stick with wifi calling if I'm inside a big building, like a hospital, where I have access to their wifi (but no cell signal). I turn it off when I leave.

I've tried wi-fi calling on two different phones including the S10. Unfortunately, I've had bad luck. For some reason, the call just drops without warning. This has happened when just sitting in the same place. Just all of a sudden, the other party is just gone mid-sentence.

I have weak cell reception in my home, but wanted to get rid of the land line. I've been using WiFi calling seamlessly for about a year of so. Much better and more reliable call quality in my home.
