Galaxy S10 will not share videos on WhatsApp, Viber etc.

Hey all,

I have an odd issue with my S10.

It simply will not send small video files via WhatsApp, Viber, Messenger etc. either on Wifi or LTE. I can receive videos just fine and it sends pictures normally as well. It just simply will not send videos. And they aren't large files either. Just short mp4's under 10mb.

Any help is appreciated!

Have you checked that High Efficiency Video isn't selected in the Advanced Recording Options of the camera app? Do you have issues with any videos or just short ones? Have you tried both the 'native' file select option inside each app and through the Share menu through the Gallery? Do both fail? Do you get any errors or just doesn't transfer?

Checked the settings, HVEC is off. It's happening with both small and larger videos. I've tried both the share function from the gallery, and tried sending it directly from the messaging app using the native file selection option.

I don't get any errors, they just fail to send.

Damn it! Yeah, mine's doing the same, but only on Whatsapp. FB Messenger did let me send the video.

Some of my friends are reporting the same now, and they have Pixel and other devices. Must be a server thing or something with WhatsApp. Odd that it's happening on all the messaging apps except regular MMS for me.

Yup, I can send videos now. So it was a server issue, not a phone. (You scared me! haha I only had FB-Owned apps to test haha)
