Why didn't my sent text messages transfer over? Only received texts transferred.

Best Buy used smart switch to transfer files from my Galaxy S5mini to new Galaxy S10e. Only the receive texts came through. I tried it again still same thing. Tried using SMS backup & restore. Still none of my sent messages come transfer over.
Help!

That's strange, because I've uses SMS Backup & Restore to keep my texts from phone to phone - and my earliest text - from me - is from 2013 - and they continue until about 18 months ago, when I got this phone. (Since then I haven't had to transfer them, I just replace the backup about once a month.)
