how can i get my S2 to come out of Black screen

when I boot the phone which was working OK last night it goes through the initial screens and to my home screen and the I get lots of warnings that processes have failed to start and need force closing one after another. This has now caused it to go into a black screen with just the notifications bar with an ominous black and white warning triangle in the corner. Is this destined for the bin?

Before tossing it, I'd try booting into recovery (Volume Up+Home+Power) and do a factory reset. You'll lose all your apps and data (pictures, music, etc.), but you've lost them already.

Then, if it's really not repairable, find a local repair shop with a good reputation and ask the owner if he's like an S2 that doesn't pay to repair, just for parts. He'll owe you. He may even give you a good price on a good used phone. (In a couple of cases, I gave the customer a working phone that I had no use for in trade for a "parts phone".)
