Exynos users from Europe and India are reporting a 1500 MB sized June update being available. Early reports list batter optimization one of the key components of the update.

Snapdragon file size is 1700 MB. Still mainly overseas users reporting receiving this update.

That is a big update. Was going to send back the s22u. I may just waiting it out and see what improvements this next update brings.

Early reports mention battery optimization as one of the main improvements.

No new news the past couple of days on the June update for U.S. users.

Do we know what the roll out time lije is for samsung updates on unlock. I have started the return process. I have till June 19th to send the phone back. Will this update drop before then. I would like to try it and see if it fixed some of my issues I am still having regarding wifi.

Nope , and most likely Carriers will get June updates first then unlocked , it's usually how it goes.

Yep, am expecting in the next 48 to 72 hours we will see the June update hit the U.S. locked carrier devices, then 24 to 48 hours after that it will get to the U.S. unlocked carrier devices.

I am interested to see if it'll actually hit my AT&T device in the next 24-48 hours. I remain skeptical but it may not help that the device is not on all the time.

Actually having the Note 8 for 3 years and the N20U for 2, locked and on AT&T, AT&T has been pretty good most of the time getting their updates out ahead of most when it his the US. They weren't the last that often. Again these were locked phones.

Being my first Unlocked phone since my Nexus 4 and on AT&T it will be interesting to see when they come out compared to the rest.

I thought all unlocked phones got the update at same time no matter what carrier... do the updates still come from the carrier's servers and not Samsung's even though it's unlocked?

As far as my understanding, the carriers still have verify unlocked firmware just to make sure there's no conflict.

Yeah it's whoever certifies it first and launches it , can be unlocked or carrier

Always a head scratcher why that is the case when on the flip side you have Apple being able to launch an update, any time they want, over every carrier, to every current gen of iPhone and 5+ previous gens of their phones... in the world... at the same dang time... without having to get a carriers approval.
