I have started the return process. I have till June 19th to send the phone back. Will this update drop before then. I would like to try it and see if it fixed some of my issues I am still having regarding wifi.

I am interested to see if it'll actually hit my AT&T device in the next 24-48 hours. I remain skeptical but it may not help that the device is not on all the time.Yep, am expecting in the next 48 to 72 hours we will see the June update hit the U.S. locked carrier devices, then 24 to 48 hours after that it will get to the U.S. unlocked carrier devices.

Actually having the Note 8 for 3 years and the N20U for 2, locked and on AT&T, AT&T has been pretty good most of the time getting their updates out ahead of most when it his the US. They weren't the last that often. Again these were locked phones.
Being my first Unlocked phone since my Nexus 4 and on AT&T it will be interesting to see when they come out compared to the rest.
I thought all unlocked phones got the update at same time no matter what carrier... do the updates still come from the carrier's servers and not Samsung's even though it's unlocked?
Yeah it's whoever certifies it first and launches it , can be unlocked or carrierAs far as my understanding, the carriers still have verify unlocked firmware just to make sure there's no conflict.
