June Software Update

Always a head scratcher why that is the case when on the flip side you have Apple being able to launch an update, any time they want, over every carrier, to every current gen of iPhone and 5+ previous gens of their phones... in the world... at the same dang time... without having to get a carriers approval.
All those iPhone models are a lnown quantity. ...and it's a known quantity that is almost exponentially less than all the different Android models carriers have to update. Think about it.

Well Android bends to the knee's to Carrier's and Apple doesn't, it's there way or the high way from beginning

I know the horse may be dead but I'm gonna kick it some more.

Here, in the US, carriers need and want iPhones, because that sells carrier lines. I may be mistaken but I believe iOS is more popular in the states than Android so carriers almost have to bend to Apple's desires but it really is a symbiotic (relationship). At least with Samsung you have years worth of updates coming...just like Apple.

EDIT: ...because leaving words out isn't cool. :)

I'm sure Apple has the market share in the US then Samsung

I actually just looked this up. As of quarter 1 2022 apple has 51% market share in the United States. I think they have hovered around that mark for a while. They get a huge boost in market share every 4th quarter due to the new phone release.

Samsung sits at a number usually around 25-35% depend on fiscal quarter.

I know right. Both platforms are great but so many people will use an iPhone just because of that logo on the back. ...just trips me out. My S22 Ultra does so much more (to me) than my iPhone 13 PM.

Reports are that Canada will receive the update on thr. 14th. Hoping U.S. users get it around then too.

It's not the logo on the back its literally iMessage. That is the only thing iphone has that android can't compete with.

So much so that apple was actually going to bring iMessage to android but decided against it. Due to the number of users who have an iphone for the purpose of that single app.

Very true , but still iPhone will never be able to beat Android, it's how it is , they do have that imessage thing but that's it , it's and ugly phone and still looks the same look which is why all Android phones especially Samsung will always look better and be the better phone.

Yeah, iMessage and FaceTime are great, that can't be argued. ...but its not enough for me anymore.

Yep a lot of the general public still see's the iPhone as a "status symbol" As all the celebrities and famous people are always seen with one. Others just think its easier to use and more reliable than Androids. Yes I know Android is much more popular now than ever. But in my personal experience. Almost everyone I know or see around has an iPhone.

Wow i just realized how ugly a iPhone looks like one of my coworkers has the latest one and i was like wtf it looks the same every year nothing changes on it they keep making look the same every year just different number and it definitely looks ugly, i couldn't use one of those phones

I just had a good conversation with my friends about iPhone vs Android. I was honest. I told them them that iMessage and FaceTime are iPhone-only. Those can't be beat. The iPhone 13 Pro Max's battery life has no peers. ...but even with all of that. I want my S22 Ultra and then I proceeded to explain the different reasons why.

You know what I learned? They didn't care. They're busy with their Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, iMessage, and FaceTime, etc. (all but the last two things I couldn't possibly care less about) and they could not care less about customizing their phones or choosing different launchers and having control over things.

It was an interesting conversation and I did learn some things.

Lmfao some of my co-workers has no idea how to use a Android phone lol since they are 100% iPhone users.
