Just downloaded it to my unlocked S22 Ultra on the Spectrum Mobile network.

Yeah, AVHL is only a security update, so any apparent battery improvement is either coincidence or placebo effect. We can tell it's security-only by the change log, or by the S rather than U before the bootloader number (S2AVHL), or by the Samsung changelist (24854392), which is the same as for AVHF (see sammobile.com).

Separately, the Aug 1 Google Play system update is now available.

No. As shown in your screenshot, it still says Android 12. Also, this one is just a security update. See 2nd post before yours for an explanation of how to tell.

No, we did not, someone messed up on the notes. I'm guessing Android 13 is the next thing to come out though

Saw someone on FB with what appeared to be android 13 update notes upon completion of theirs, and i went and checked for aoftware updates and got this as well. I believe it is an erroneous summary. That was afterall just stated to be a security update when it started.

This is what it shows when you go to about phone --> software information, so that update summary with the security update is definitely a bug.

Heck of a coincidence. My battery life is still noticeably better since the update I took on Sunday.
