I just recently did the firmware update to 4.1.2 about a week ago. I've since run into some notification troubles.
Before the update I would receive notifications for all apps in the status bar. It seems that after installing the update, I no longer receive push notifications in the status bar for most apps. For Facebook messenger I do not receive a message notification; I must physically open the app to see any new messages. The same goes for Facebook, twitter, and instagram notifications. Nothing happens in the status bar- I must check the apps by opening them. Gmail notifications however do work. It is quite strange. I am unable to check if phone calls or text messages work yet as I am currently traveling outside of Canada (the update was installed via WiFi in Belgium...could this have possibly created a bad download?)
Any ideas on what is going on? Thanks in advance.
