Hi, I'm new here and I think I have the issue with my SG3 figured out but not how to fix it. The four gold prongs where the battery goes (2 of them) are push down. PLEASE HELP ME!! I cannot live without my phone. I'm a single mother and I dont have any of my contacts written down and no back up phone.

The connecting prongs are in the phone or on the battery that seem damaged?

The four prongs in the battery compartment appear to be spring-loaded. They should pop out any time the battery is removed. If two of them are not, you could GENTLY prod them with a pencil point to see if they'll reset. If that doesn't do it then you really want to take the phone in to the local corporate store and have them look at it.

I would counsel against fiddling with them too much because if you break them then the carrier will wash their hands of the whole problem.
