Question Apps won't move to SD card!

I have an Samsung Galaxy A12. Because it only has 64gb internal storage, I tend to move as many apps as possible to the SD card. Recently after restarting my phone, all the SD card apps disappeared, apart from a greyed out symbol for each app on the home screen. I reinstalled the missing apps but have since been unable to move them to the SD card, as I get the error message "not enough storage space" and yet I definitely had enough space. I am aware the internal memory has to have enough memory to perform the transfer. This was never been a problem before even if my internet storage was low. But now it refuses to transfer.
Fearing that the SD card was partly corrupted, I replaced it with a larger one and formatted it. I have restarted the phone and basically done everything that os suggested when I search for the problem. I have 30gb spare on the card and 3gb spare on internal storage so I can see no reason why they won't transfer. It starts the transfer and gets to 90% but then stops and gives the "not enough storage" message.
Is there some system file that has corrupted which is stopping the transfer taking place?
Thanks

Strong possibility might have to factory reset to correct this but I don't recommend using the SD card for apps as it's slower write speeds and doesn't put the full apps data on it only partially and if you unmount the SD card or gets corrupted you will have these issues.
