Hello all, i was under the impression that the Gs4 records or could record slow motion video in 720p from several reviews i saw of the phone, but when i go to do it i see thats not the case. Can the s4 capture 720p slow motion video? 1372187367638.jpg

I see what you are seeing, but have you tried hitting the record button? I switched mine to 720 and was able to capture in slow mo

Yes, but i hit record and the settings menu is taken away and doesn't let me change anything. I tried changing it to 720p prior to changing the video mode to slow motion but it reverts to that low resolution setting.

when in the camera mode hit the little setting wheel over on the side,
then one of the little icons on the side should be a video camera with a tiny reel (like film)
select that and it should bring up you recording modes for the video.

Let me know if this works or not and I can post pics.

I just did some testing on my Galaxy S4 ATT version. No matter what the video setting, if I had set my slow motion video to record, it was recording at 800 X 450. So barely better than dvd quality.

Well if im right, it looks like only the Exynos version of the Gs4 can do 720p slow motion. Unless someone in the U.K or somewhere else in the world with the Snapdragon version can do 720p? Both Sprint s4 nor At&t cant do 720p Slow mo. How about Verizon or T-Mobile anyone?

On the top left corner when he demos the S4 in slow motion you will see that he states 850 x 400 and the video was scaled up.

Also other websites have confirmed that at slow motion video is always recorded at this resolution.
