Samsung S4 Battery drains when on charger

When I put my phone on the charger, the battery starts draining. I have to charge my battery on an external charger. Just prior to this happening, I kept getting a notice on my phone stating that the battery was disconnected. Nothing had happened to the phone. It wasn't dropped or anything of the sort. I'm baffled. When I plug it into the regular charger, the phone vibrates, but doesn't charge.

Has anybody experienced this?

If I were you I would try replacing the battery to see if that helps. Before you do so, check and make sure your water damage indicator is still white, your battery is in good condition (no visible signs of wear and tear). I would also try to see if you can put your battery in a friend's phone and test it that way. If you have had your phone under a year, go to your wireless carrier (retail store) and do a warranty claim. Send me a private message or email if you need any further assistance. Perhaps is your charging pin what is damaged in the phone.
