My phone was wiped by the insurance company when they repaired it. I've read online that when I log into my Google account the device should be automatically restored. Contacts and calendar have synced up, but I thought that apps should also be restored. I cannot find a way to view my backups or initiate a manual restoration. Anything I can do? I'd like to restore my desktops, apps, app data, and configurations.

Normally it would restore some or most of your apps. You should be able to go into your Google Play account via computer and look under My Apps and select apps that you have previously downloaded and one by one select to have them downloaded again.

As for app data that would probably be lost along with configurations. Google doesn't save as much as we would like to see :(
