messages randomly not coming through

Occasionally, but more often lately, my Galaxy S5 on verizon has not been recieving texts from my friend with an iphone 6 on verizon. But please don't tell me to tell her to check her imessage settings or to delete messages/ her contact info then re-add it because I've already done all of these things. Any other helpful solutions?

You didn't say but are you a former iPhone user? I've seen articles where something in your, cellular DNA let's say, is tied to Apple even after you leave. This can make getting messages from iPhone users a bit complicated. They will occasionally come through but occasionally get lost too. If you are a former iPhone user this article may help with your issue.
