Is it safe to log into Gmail after my phone is rooted?

I rooted my phone: Is it safe to log into my gmail account and use Google services after my phone has been rooted? Will my account be stolen through some sneaky key-logger or something? (I am a privacy freak, I need to know )

Technical side of things:
Model: Samsung Galaxy S5 (SM-G900i)
Codename: klte
I used CF auto root - (the kltedd zip file by chainfire)

Any help is appreciated
