On the GS6. What more of a deal-maker for you? Sexy hardware design, or software improvements?

Samsung just announced its new flagship models: Galaxy S6 and S6 edge. Both have the new sleek design that some criticize for looking too "apple". They also have a much improved version of touchwiz driven lollipop. Now their UI is much more user friendly and less laggy. What do you think that makes you really want to buy either of these new flagship models?

The whole package. Those that focus on one area are doomed, it's too competitive out there, in order to generate sales you need to be at the top of the game in all phases. Looks like Sammy did its homework.

Software improvements of course. I am going to have a case on my phone to cover the design for the most part.

Other than the two mentioned above, what makes you want the new galaxy s6?

I switch devices roughly every 6 months or so. I was set on the M9 prior to the announcements but now leaning towards the S6. I've had Samsung through the years (S2 through the S5 I still have) and quite frankly I was tired of the TW fiasco. So the software portion appeals to me but I have to say it is a sexy beast.

And there is nothing like cracking open the box to a new device.

With the sort of prices the flagship models are coming out as, they need to focus on improving both. To Samsung's credit, they could have ignored all the fairly legitimate gripes people had with past models and they'd still sell fairly well but they went above and beyond with the S6. As a Galaxy user for the last four years, they addressed pretty much every reason for me wanting to switch to a different brand but most importantly, they shown their quite frankly, ruthless ambition to be the best out there and that will probably be the deal-maker for me. They excited me while their other main competitor today had me seriously downbeat.

Pretty ballsy of Samsung to release this phone after being taught such expensive lessons. Both in court, and in the market.

I switched from the iPhone to the S4 when it came out 2 years ago.

One feature that Apple implemented in the new iPhone that caught my eye was the Apple Pay. I like the use of virtual account numbers, it's something I use when shopping online and being able to use it in more locations would be great. I've been issued several new credit cards/numbers recently due to places like the Home Depot getting hacked.

I'd done a little research on the Loop Pay, but I didn't see anything similar to the virtual account numbers. However, the Samsung pay has the "tokenization". I've done a little research on it, I'm not sure if it's the same thing as virtual account numbers, but it accomplishes the same thing. My card number isn't actually given to the vendor, so if/when they're hacked, my card is safe. I've started noticing places that I shop if they can handle NFC payments, some do, some don't. I think they'll all be able to handle the Samsung Pay.

I'm looking forward to being able to actually handle the phones. I'll probably give the M9 a look, but I'm leaning towards one of the S6 models. I'll need to see if the Edge does anything worth the extra money.

I was a long time iPhone user, swapped to the M8, then the iPhone 6+ then the Note 4. I couldn't stand the previous plastic feel of the Samsung phones, and have been impressed with the Note 4 so far with the metal edge. After seeing the new S6 I'm blown away, it's exactly what I've been waiting for - a premium feel and design running Android. The Note 4 is being traded in the day the S6 Edge is available.

I don't care for the glass back, the lack of sd card, and swappable battery. But the camera looks amazing, and that alone may decide my purchase for me as long as the battery life is decent.

SD nor battery issues seems to stop iPhone sales. In fact some nut jobs camp out for these things.

Didn't Samsung release a commercial mocking Apple users for not having a removable/swappable battery? Always saying they are "tethered" to the wall. Oh look...the S6 is....similar. Guess whoever buys the phone better carry a charger and cord everywhere you go.

You are in the wrong place to talk about other things.

I could care less what it looks like as long as it isn't pink. I'm putting it in a case anyways so if I don't like the looks I will rarely see it.
