Will the S6/S6 Edge ROMS/Kernels/Mods/Etc be compatible with each other?

So I plan on buying a Sprint GS6 Edge when it arrives in about a month.... my question though, is that I'm guessing there won't be as any people with the GS6 Edge than the regular GS6 and I am wondering if the Edge variant can run the same ROMs/Kernels that will be made for the regular GS6 or will there need to be separate GS6 Edge ROMs/Kernels/Mods/Etc.?

I have been wondering the same thing for the same reasons. I thought that I read somewhere during the rumor stage that they are two different device model numbers. If so, it will be unlikely that the ROMs will be compatible with both devices. This is just a shot in the dark. If someone has any info on this Joe113 and I would sure appreciate it!
