Either my Galaxy s6 or Android version can to properly detect which numbers are phone numbers and which numbers should maybe be links to a web page (e.g. order numbers, tracking numbers)

8 digit numbers can be phone numbers - it depends on where you are. Any string of numbers (without a protocol in front of it, like http:// and a domain behind it, like .com) is not going to be interpreted as a link to a tracking page. (http://12345678.com could be a website [it's claiming to be one], 12345678 couldn't be, but it could be a phone number.)

Blame the people posting the numbers for not following the rules - all the browsers used on Android phones do.
