I prefer the simplicity of the memo (the default note taking apps come with GS6), but it lacks of cloud syncing capability. In the other hand, Google keep is very comprehensive, but I don't like the colourful design of it.

What you all think about the Note taking apps?

Is there a way that I can sync the memo to the cloud?

I prefer the memo version as it changes design with the Samsung Themes that you have downloaded. Right now I have Material dark theme and the memo app looks great. I don't use Google Keep, but when I go into it, I have notes I made several months ago.

Yes, the onpy problem here is that it doesn't sync with the cloud.

In the other hand, Google keep is really good. I can sync up between my phone and my PC browser. That's really make my life easier (except the colourful card that not suit to my taste).

I use Keep but wish it had more color options for notes.

I wish we could use custom backgrounds.

It syncs with samsung account. If you have one, you can set it to sync and you can pull it up on any samsung device, especially if you get a new samsung phone. The only drawback is that's the only way it can be done.

Stick with a note taking app that's independent of what brand your devices are.

I'll look forward to some additional features down the road but definitely Keep. My girlfriend and I use it to share notes with each other, to do lists, grocery lists. Actually comes in quite handy.

I like Google Keep, too. The cloud syncing is nice plus the widget makes it easy to snap a picture for a note or quickly jot something down.

You can sync Memo if you have a Samsung Account. Go to Accounts, Samsung Account, it might say no sync, but click anyway. It should show you 4 things. Sync Calendar, Contacts, Internet, and Memo. Click it and it should sync. Hope this helps
