How can I get my Voicemail icon to go to Voicemail and not Visual Voicemail?

Voicemail

When I had my S4, if I received a voicemail, there was an icon that popped up that said I have a voicemail and if I clicked on it, would automatically dial my Verizon voicemail number.

Now with my S6, every time I receive a voicemail there is an icon that shows up, but if I click on it, it launches Visual voicemail instead. It asks me to accept or decline as this is a paid function. When I decline, it doesn't seem to make a difference. Each time I receive a voicemail I get the same thing.

I'm trying to get my phone to go to Verizon voicemail and not Visual voicemail when I receive a voicemail. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? There doesn't seem to be anything in settings that I can change.

Re: Voicemail

You may have to use a third party vm app to resolve. It does the exact same with my S6.

Re: Voicemail

You need to edit the csc features file. You'll need root for that.

edit file \system\csc\feature.xml

<CscFeature_Contact_EnableVVM>false</CscFeature_Contact_EnableVVM>

There's some other junks you can get rid of by editing this file.
