I'm not asking how to set the settings, I found 100 pages on that.

On my S4, all I had to do was touch the little circular "Sync" icon. I have no such icon on my S6, so must wait for the next scheduled sync, I set it to 15 minutes.

It does have a setting to set it to "Manual Sync" only, but I can't find a button or icon to do a manual sync.

pull down the notification bar. if the sync button is not there then swipe on the buttons ribbon to reveal more. if sync is still not there then tap on the edit button and drag the sync button up on the first row of buttons

The standard mail app.

I discovered a workaround, but it's a little complicated.

If I switch to the "Unread" folder. the mail will sync. Then when I switch back to the inbox, it's updated.
On the S4, a I needed do was press the circular "Sync" icon.

Manual email sync command
OMG on my Samsung TabA it is a downward swipe on the left side of the screen on the inbox email list
How many other hidden commands do we have to waste our time finding?
