Smart Switch not backing up application data to pc after latest update

I have a Galaxy S6 phone and have been using Smart Switch the last month to back up the phone to my Windows 10 pc. I have done this about once a week. Looking at the backup files, it has been backing up applications in .apk files, along with the application data in .edata files. However, I just downloaded the latest update of Smart Switch (4.0.15113_12). Now the latest backup only has the .apk files but no .edata files, so the application data is not being backed up. I ran it twice with the same result. Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas how to correct it?

I don't know if you can "correct" it - that's probably going to take another update. But until then you can use Helium. (If your phone's not rooted, it'll tell you to download a PC program, run it and connect your phone to the PC. That's legitimate.)
