How to backup phone?

Hi guys,

I'm new to Android so haven't got a clue on how to backup the whole of my device, I would like it so that when I receive the replacement of my S7 Edge I can just restore the device and have minimal setting up on the new device.

Is there a way to do this within Android or do I need to use an app and if so which is the best app for this?

You can use the smart switch app

Use smart switch. It can be found in backup and reset

With Smart Switch do I need to have both devices to do this? As I will be doing a door to door swap.

You can download the smart switch application in your windows pc. Then backup your stuff to that and restore from there when you get your new Samsung phone.

You can also have smart switch on both phones and do it that way through nfc/Bluetooth.
