I cannot get my Arris-D002 modem to recognize my or my husbands s7edge.

Our new S7Edge will not recognize the Arris-D002 modem. Our cable company is a local and not associate with TWC but we are having the same issues as others when it comes to wi-fi. My 7Note recognized the modem and we have not had any issues with our laptops or tablets...just the 7Edge. What gives? Out cable company states that they don't have the issue its with the phone and does not seem to want to help.

I suggest you download this free app on your phone....run it and report back what you see in the air BOTH on 2.4GHz and on 5GHz....have to tap I think in top left to toggle bands in some screens.
Note the SSID and the band (2.4 or 5GHz) and the channels it appears on.
