I hope this is not true... .. That would mean after 2 years 40% and having to replace the battery expensive... However the S8 only loses 5% per year.
Curios I wonder what Apple looses per year.

The article... the Galaxy S8 Plus battery will age better as it has improved cycle longevity losing just 5% of its capacity after one year versus 20% with the Galaxy S7 Edge. Its wired and wireless charging is also slightly faster (though Samsung didn’t say by how much), but brace yourself for the cost of replacing all your micro USB charging cables.

A couple of issues with this..

1. How can they know how much better the S8 will be if they haven't even had it for a year to test? You could say they've tested that battery before it was in the S8, but that isn't a true test of the S8 application of that battery.

2. I've had my s7 edge for almost 6 months now and have had no problem with battery loss. I don't take any special care of it either

3. It doesn't matter. Most people replace or trade in their phones when the first year is up and they are eligible for upgrade. Lithium ion batteries will always have this problem, whether they tell you it does or it doesn't. Get over it. You have a super-computer with HD graphics combined with the most high tech camera tech to date in your pocket. I'm sure there are much more important things for you to worry about
