Force my S7 to use the 2.4GHz WiFi band?

Hi, I'm trying to get my S7 to connect with Spotify running on a ps3 which only has 2.4GHz capability. Both the 2.4 and 5GHz bands have the same network SSID to enable devices to switch between at will when moving around the house. The network controller will probably try to steer the S7 towards 5GHz but I can disable that behaviour (but I don't want to rename the different band SSIDs).

Did you figure this out? I'm having the same issue with a Smart Thermostat.
