Getting new S7 - stop apps from installing.....

I'm going to be getting s new S7 soon. I seem to recall other new Android devices installing pretty much every app I've tried when I signed the new device on to my Google account. Is there a way to stop that?

Immediately after finishing the Setup Wizard go to the Play Store, then My Apps, and stop all apps from installing or updating.

Just hit set up as new when you first boot it up. It asks of you want to restore apps or not.

Turns out to be a moot question because I used the built in Samsun utility. I deselected the apps I didn't want installed and it moved them anyway. yet ignored others. Oh well, thanks for the help!!!
