Can I get the words in the status bar back?

I noticed that the words under the icons in the drag-down status bar are now gone (i.e. "Wi-Fi," "Do Not Disturb," "Flashlight"). I've looked through all the settings I can think of, but can't find a way to get them back. Is there a way to get them back, and if so, how do I do it?

Have you installed a THEME lately? That is the first thing that comes to mind that would remove the words.
Or are you using a launcher or some sort?

I opened the "Wallpapers and Themes" and "Allowed" the permissions, but I didn't download/buy/apply anything or change from default.
And no launcher.

If you have upgraded to Nougat, they have taken the text away that is shown after the first swipe down.
