I have AOD on my S7 and to unlock my phone I have to hit the home button then swipe and then enter my pattern. That's a 3 steps process to unlock phone. Is there a way to just swipe then enter pattern?

You need to press either the home or power button to wake the phone up, the AOD functions the same as having the screen off.

I'm a bit confused why you need to swipe to get to your pattern, my phone isn't like that and I have the S7.

I use the finger print scanner, pick my phone up and press the home button to wake the screen, without lifting my finger off the button it registers my finger print and unlocks faster than any other phone I've owned. It's essentially 1 step process.

After I wake the phone up it goes to the "Swipe screen to unlock". From there I enter my pattern. Can you have more than one person register the finger print?

Have never seen that question I would have to say maybe, as phone's are setup with one account/one user in mind. But, you can register up to (IIRC) 3, so I guess you could if you wanted that person to have full control over the phone.

I'd have to agree with @PJRed2008 ... phone doesn't know who the finger is attached to. So you could conceivably have 3 different people register a fingerprint that could be used to open the phone.
