So much negativity! Let's be positive.

So far this forum is full of people hating certain features, complaints about the phone, software or accessories, and just so much negativity about the phone. I'm tired of negativity in the world, the news is on at my work for my entire 8 hour shift every day and it gets to be a bit much. I want to head about your S9 and why you love it and ONLY good things about it. My first positive thing to say is that I'm super excited it is coming today and having held one in hand that it is a gorgeous device and rivals the beauty of any phone on the market.

Got mine yesterday and so far I'm loving it! I'm glad the stock messages app and keyboard now supports GIFs. Its definitely an improvement.

I hear you and over the years have become oblivious to it. I've purchased over 6 phones, 5 TVs and 2 Tablets and a big a$$ refrigerator from Samsung and not one defect on any product in 10 years.

Obviously it can happen and maybe I've been lucky but when it comes to their phones, I've found that they're better in the hands of people who want a truly immersive experience that they can manage with some relatively complex detail.

If someone ( like my wife) wants plug and play, just buy an IPhone. No big deal but I've seen more user error on these forums rather than a bad product and that pretty much applies to all manufacturers....

I forgot to mention the stereo speakers are a welcome addition. Finally! They sound great!

Yeah I have 2 Samsung TV's (my previous was Sammy also and it lasted 10 years before I just wanted an upgrade, still going at my Sister-In-Law's house) and have Sammy washer and dryer, none have given me issues other than wear and tear. I think it's just magnified because forums are where people go to get quick fixes for issues and such but still, need more positivity.

Positive or negative ... you need some to adjust yourself to a new toy. Wait a bit and then post your opinion about it.

What I also see is most negative comments come from users with history of only 2 or 3 comments and not providing much details. e.g. pictures or screenshots.

Each one can make their own conclusions.

Probably the most accurate comment that can be made.

I also agree that some people make snap judgments (and I have to wonder if some of those are a result of someone posting to get credit for the giveaway contest), people need to take some time to "move in" to their new device and get a good feel for what it's doing for them.

In my case - it took me a good week to "move in" to my Tab S3 when I got it, and a couple days to get settled in on my Pixel 2 XL. I imagine everyone has their go-to app/feature/function that they always set up first and gives them a good feel for how things will go, I know I do, but those should be held off until all the initial syncs have completed.

If there truly are negative comments to be made - let people make them. Some people will believe a device is perfect because they WANT it to be perfect. I don't recall anyone complaining about negativity in the Pixel 2 section, but I also wasn't in that section in the early months.

I've only had mine 24 hours but I'm pretty happy. Of course I'm a girl who uses her phone like a regular person. I will tweak a lot of stuff but not to the degree of the techy folks. I think the average person will be happy with this phone. At any rate, it is a nice upgrade for me...I am coming from the original S6 Edge and refused to upgrade to the S8/S8+ last year because of the position of the fingerprint sensor and I also didn't like any of the phone colors...

I'm really pleased so far. I've only had it in use for maybe six hours. It's absolutely the first Samsung I've had that I didn't immediately throw a custom launcher on to it.

A lot of the negativity has been kind of sketchy. As someone said, several have been first posts basically saying the phone sucks and other first time posters saying they agree. A few legit ones though but that is to be expected. Most people post when they have problems. I’m super excited to get mine coming from an axon 7. I’m positive about that. Even though the axon 7 has been a great phone, the s9 will be a nice upgrade!

I think the Ops purpose was to just have a place for people to talk about the positive things all. Not debate all the negative ones. Thats fine. There can be a place where everyone comes to praise the device. No harm in that.

My favorite thing about it is support for Treble. I don't know what it's going to mean for S9 updates, but the potential is there and I hope Samsung (and other OEMs) make the most of it.

I see nothing sketchy to be honest.

After being here for years.. this is 110% normal. Nothing has happened this launch that hasn't happened on the other 42 phone launches :).

This is normal.

People who have negative experiences tend to be more vocal than those with positive ones. There's a saying that a satisfied customer will tell 5 friends about his experience but an unsatisfied one will tell 10.

overall coming from a note 8 that gave me some issues and having to return the device twice it's running pretty smooth my S9 plus. with Samsung there's always a honeymoon phase the first month or two the device runs smooth and after that I do notice it's very buggy and this is coming from a long time Samsung supporter
